Remember he is there.

The Lord has been trying very hard to teach me some things lately.
I being lazy far to often have neglected to listen to him.

I am grateful he never gives up on me and is always there supporting me when I finally take the time to recognize him in my life again.

It's pretty awesome how much he loves you and me....even when we are not deserving of his love.

I think I am ready for this.

I have been in a Blah mood as of late. When I say as of late I really mean the last couple of months. I have been feeling like I have no control of my life. I have used the phrase "I feel like a hamster on a wheel running and running, but getting nowhere" a lot lately.
I have been feeling exceptionally stressed with anxiety over everything.

I have had no desire to blog about my life because all I could tell you about was my 7 loads of laundry I needed to catch up on, my toddler who refuses go potty, my fridge that has something growing in it and the lingering smell of fish in my front room. I have no idea where that fishy smell comes from and why it randomly fills my house throughout the week.

Recently things seem to be going upward. I feel a desire to forget about my stresses and think about others. I have found joy in focusing on others.I have set goals for myself that have made me feel a bit more satisfied with my life.

One goal is to find the beauty in the world around me again. I somehow have forgotten just how great life is because I didn't allow myself to see.

Beauty.

I finally have time to update....

Here is my last picture of my pregnant self. We took it right before we walked into the hospital. Question: How old do I look to all of you in this picture.
I was treated like a 16 year old knocked up teen the entire stay at the hospital. I hated it..... that will be a entire different post. Now on to the cuteness..
Joseph has taken to his little brother. He is so sweet to him and kisses him and tells him all kinds of sweet words. However he has not been so kind to mama. He has taken all the anger out on me and has been on Jason like white on rice. No lie the kid is obsessed with his father right now. I had lot of my sisters telling me that he would become a daddy's boy and I was looking forward to their bonding moment. I just didn't know it would also break my heart at the same time. He no longer ran to me when he got hurt. He no longer came to my side of the bed when he woke up. I missed the things that he and I shared.

But I adore my new family. The one where I have 3 boys in my life now, to care for and watch over. Now Joseph and I get to share a new and different life together and that includes Daniel. I hope the two will grow up to be best friends like me and my siblings. That they can share inside jokes and memories together as they grow.

I realize it will be a while before they really get to play together and enjoy each other the way brothers should enjoy each other. Until that happens they can start by sharing a good snuggle on the couch.

The news is in...

We went to our doctor today and they were running behind. I was getting nervous because Jason had to leave by a certain time in order to make it to work for a very important phone call. They finally called us in and we got to see the little one on the screen. Then before the ultrasound tech could say anything I saw that my baby was a boy. It's hard to miss when you know what you are looking for!! Jason and I knew it was going to be a girl. I have even been calling the baby she or her while talking about the baby. Now it's time to switch gears for a baby boy!
We have no idea what to name the little guy. We had our girls name ready and now we will have to put it on hold for a second time.

You should know...

I am fully aware that if Jason dies before me, I will become this lady. Since I have been a home owner I spy on my neighbors all the time. If I hear a car door shut I look out the window to see what they are up too. I can pretty much tell you all about them, just not their names because I haven't actually spoken to them. That would be plain weird.

just in case you were looking for me....

I will not be on Facebook any longer. I spend way to much time on the Internet as it is and I should be spending time with my family instead of stalking others. Muah.

How did I not know?

We ran into the grocery store Saturday night for a few items and Joseph lied down and went to sleep. I should have known he was sick and not just being ridiculously cute.

Easter Pictures....times 100

Sweet boy of mine.
Getting ready to go to church.
Here he is outside our house saying 'cheese' which never really gives us the smile we want. However it is still a cute face.
Ma mom and Joseph. (As he calls me these days.)

Da Da and Joseph.
yummy food to eat.
Joseph was having so much fun looking for eggs. When all the other children had given up on the hunt he continued. He was having a hard time with the basket so Jason's dad helped him out the entire time. Bless his heart, it was a long time. :)
I did get some cute pictures of the two of them together which was pretty nice. His basket turned out to be too small. We had to empty it 3 times into a larger basket.

Hope your Easter was just perfect like mine.

14 weeks and the baby is the size of a Lemon.

I love my growing belly. I am starting to feel the baby move around inside. I mostly feel the baby at night or in the morning while I am laying in bed. Other wise I don't notice it. The weather has been extremely wonderful here in GA. We have been making it outside for at least an hour every day if not longer. Joseph loveees the outdoors. Yesterday while at the park he learned a few tricks from an older kid. Like how to ride the swing on your belly. Boy did he think he was awesome. He even did it today when we were outside.
I am very excited about Easter and spending time with our families. I love holidays where we all have a chance to remember the Savior and I think it helps remind me of all the little things I should be doing in my life.

If you missed it on my Pink Nothings site you can see these pictures of Joseph painting with these awesome water colors. (no drip, no mess!!)

Here is a video of Joseph spelling out his name. He LOVES the alphabet. He knows 15 letters out of the alphabet. He is really obsessed with them. Thank you Blues Clues.

I went to the doctor today and hear the heartbeat of my little one. It was 165. My doctor told me lots of people want to know if that means it's a boy or a girl and he said most of the time it means a girl but now always. I told him, yes I know. My son's heart was high too, but he is just a hyper little guy. Tomorrow I will be right at 13 weeks.

I thought I should start taking pictures of my belly. This shot was taken about a month ago. Yikes. It takes me forever to load pictures these days. Please do not click on my picture to make it larger. I took it of myself and it is blurry and I think my eyes are doing a weird half open half closed thing.

neglectful mother?

When I was pregnant with Joseph I posted his picture the day I got it. With this little one it has taken me 6 weeks to post this. I am right around 13 weeks. I am going to the Doctor tomorrow for my second appointment.
I love this picture. I feel like I can see the cute little face already.

Today the weather was just amazing. I often don't realize how good the weather is until my sister in law calls me to come over and play outside with her girls. Today Joseph and I went to the post office. I parked farther away from the post office so we could walk up the side walk to the post office and you would have thought my son had died and gone to heaven. He loved pointing to all the cars and trucks that were driving by. So we took our time and walked around a bit. I now know a cheap and easy play date for him. Walking around the square of a small town.
After we were done walking we played in our backyard, which has a TON of broken glass. Small pieces, huge pieces. We really have no idea how to handle the glass issue. We want Joseph to be able to play in the yard more but we don't find it to be very safe. Please let me know if you have any ideas.

Today I really enjoyed being a mother. It's always nice to have days like this where everything goes just right. If only I could remember these days when everything goes wrong.

I am starting to feel better with the whole pregnancy.
I still hate food....

Double the trouble.

I am 8 weeks along and my due date is Sep 30Th. We emailed this to Jason a couple of weeks ago when we found out. It took him a few seconds to catch on!
This was such a hard picture to take that is why it's so blurry. I had to tape the picture on his chest in order to keep it in place. I have been dying to tell you all. I was feeling pretty bad for a while but I think I am starting to feel a bit better.
Muah.

My turn.

I cannot tell you how many blogs I have seen lately where they had to bring their little ones to the Dr. Well I guess it was my turn. I tried to pass but my turn really made me go. I told you all in the last post how Joseph got sick. Well he stayed sick for a whole week with the dreaded stomach bug. Then on Friday after he started to refuse any liquids I went to my Dr. he sent me to the ER to get a IV for Joseph. Just let me tell you I was NOT looking forward to this. I knew he would just freak out because that's all he does at the doctors office theses days and they aren't even touching him 95% of the time. We got there and as soon as he saw it was sorta like a doctors office he went insane on me.
I am sure this is what they had to start asking the other people coming in. We went to our room and by this time it was nap time. If you know Joseph at all you know I cannot get him to sleep anywhere but the car or his crib. Sooo he screamed for 2 1/2 hours before the doctor even came in to see the kid. NO LIE. Finally he realized everything was okay and sat in my lap and watch Wallie the movie with me. Then the doctor came in asked me all these questions and told me he wasn't dehydrated. He didn't need an IV. He did want to give him something to help him not be so nauseous. I fed him some food for the first time that day because he started to ask for some and we went home.
Now I ask you why the heck did my doctor send me to the ER to waste all of my money when all he really needed to do was give him a tiny little pill? It was a awful day. He is back to normal and feeling great. I missed my boy while he was sick.

I hate titles.

I have been in my house for 2 months and have gone WITHOUT a washer and dryer. Well I didn't have one in my house, I was at the mercy of my sister in law to let me use her washer and dryer. I got some this weekend and think they look pretty nice in my mud room. Just so you know, After we hooked it up last night during the spin cycle it flooded our mudroom. YES flooded! It didn't take long to realize two things. 1. i was thankful my parents gave me a wet/dry vacuum one Christmas. 2. We didn't put the drain hose where it was supposed to go. The guys we bought it from had stuffed the drain hose in the the washer and we didn't see it. As the saying goes out of sight out of mind.
Now that is doesn't flood every time I use it I have washed 8 loads in 24hours AND put all the laundry away!! woot woot for me.

I had fun making my own wreath this morning. Now I need to put my tree up!

Alison told me she had no idea what the front of my house looked like, I guess I haven't posted any pictures.

Joseph is so my son.

I was getting ready the other morning and I notice Joseph was being very very quiet. I turned around to go find him and he was standing in the doorway with a huge smile on his face and a blue crayon in his hand. It didn't take long to know what just went down in his life.
He was having the time of his life. Mom wasn't around and he found a crayon on the floor. He really likes to draw as he calls it. I thought I had put all his crayons away.
I had to give you some object to know how large his artwork was. If I call it art work then I smile knowing he likes art like I do.

He loves cookies. I have avoided giving him any and decided to treat him to one after eating an veggie with his lunch one day. He typically will call any food a cracker. I gave it to him and said " here have a cookie" He took it, had one bite and said "cooookie, coookie" over and over.....what have I done?
PS
don't tell Jason I gave him chocolate! hahaha

Randomosity

Here is what I have been up to lately. If you read Pink Nothings or we are FB buddies you may have seen these already...............I caught Joseph in the sink. I had some people on FB think that I put him in the sink. I need to clarify. He did it all on his own. After I got him down I had to put him in time out for trying to do it again. I love that he will sit in time out. I really didn't think I would have the type of child who would do that for me.
We love to take advantage of my sister -in- laws backyard. We like to swing and jump together.
I have a climber. No doubt. Anyone have a small plastic climber and slide combo? If so I want it!!!
I know you all want to see pictures of the house. This is your small tease. You will note that the picture was taken around Halloween because of the ghost/pumpkin cookie jar on the table.

Part of my kitchen.
I promise to have more pictures soon.
Updates on the man.
* He has 12 teeth now
*can sign soo many words. milk, more, please, sorry, train, shoes, socks, eat, potty, hat, banana and ( he can do the signs to the wheels on the bus....go round and round, doors open and shut, horn goes beep, babies cry, moms say shhh)
*knows the shape for circle
*will follow simple commands like go get (fill in the blank)
* loves baths and hate to lay down in them to get the bubbles out of his hair.
*loves trains.
Oh. I forgot this picture was here. I raked my yard a couple of weeks ago. I was so proud I took this picture. Then I couldn't move for the next 3 days because I hurt my back using muscles I never use. How old am I?

no pictures = bad blogging.

I have not posted because I have not been able to take any pictures. I have a very OLD camera. I want a new one so I am refusing to use the old one that takes almost 5 years to take a picture. I just don't know which camera I should get. I promise one day you will see my house with it all settled in. Speaking of my house. I just love it.

I think I got the best birthday gift this year....

My new House!! Too bad I didn't take a picture of the front of it for you to see.I got everything else for your to see! Here goes. In very random order. The backyard from my backdoor. We love the yard, Jason has so many plans for it already.
The back of the house.
Spare room we are going to have as a family room.
The master bath.
The master has a lovely fireplace!!
The hallway to the 2 other rooms.
Joseph's room!!
The kitchen flows into the living room. Ignore the inspector and my brother in law.
I love love love my kitchen sink. I should since I know I will spend lots of time there.
Laundry. The door to the left goes to the Master. The door to the right leads to the spare or the new family room.
We are closing on our house this Friday and the movers arrive Friday!! I have big plans on having my entire house put together by Sunday, I will be happy if it's done later though. I could not be more excited about this house. I will be living 3 doors down from Jason's sister Jamie. I will post more pictures of the house once we are all unpacked and I feel sane again. So that means it may never happen!
If you didn't catch it, today is my birthday. Big 25. wow.
