This is LONG overdue.....

I need to let everyone know how my sweet baby boy is doing. As many of you know, Joseph had been very difficult for a while. The storm has passed and we are just loving our boy! He is just the best thing around. He loves his mama and daddy. He likes to try and sit. He still cannot roll over from his back to his stomach, but he does roll from his back to his side and will just play with his feet.
He loves to laugh. And because I love to hear him laugh, my goal is to have him let out a good laugh at least once a day. Today= mission accomplished.
I have STRUGGLED with Joseph's sleep habits. No longer do I fear nap time and bedtime. We have overcome that too. He is just a completely different baby! He just woke up happy one day and has been ever since.
I cannot take all the credit for this cute kid. He did learn this face from his dad. ha ha

Two posts in one day, go me!!

Back when he used to "sleep like a baby".....those were the days!!!
My baby when he was three weeks old. MUAH!!!!
Joseph turned 4 months old on the 16Th. He has been such a blessing in my life. He has taught me MANY lessons already and he hasn't even been here very long! I have told many people that motherhood has been a huge shock for me. I would say that because I didn't think I would struggle as much as I have. I had always been around children and babies my entire life. I babysat and was nanny and thought I knew it all. Boy was I wrong!!! Maybe I was a good babysitter but I was not a mother.
Joesph has taught me how to be a mother. He has taught me to have patience always and understanding. My love for him grows each day with the service I give to him. Everything I thought my baby would never do, he has done. Everything I said I wouldn't do, I have done. I have learned to take one day at a time and not live by the rules of the experts. (That was my biggest problem.)
Sunday a lady was giving a talk and said this.
The measure of your love is the measure of your soul.
It stood out to me so much. It was as if the Lord were speaking to me, about how to be a mother. All I really need to do for this little soul is love him. He will grow because of my love and I will grow by giving it to him. I love the little lessons I learn from every day things. I only hope I am being the mother he deserves to have. Maybe by the time one of his siblings make it to the family I will have motherhood down. Of course until then he will just have to be my little Guinea pig!

His 4 month check up was today.

Weight- 15lbs 7 oz
Height 25 1/4 inch's

He is teething and she could see the little tooth trying to make it's way into the world.

Puts everything in his mouth.

Fascinated with the mirror. He will smile and talk to the baby in the mirror.

Loves his hands and doesn't care to play with his feet yet.

Hates bedtime. After bath when we go in his dim lit room he starts to cry just because he knows what is about to go down.

Big time mommas boy.

Likes to play peek-a-boo.

what is this?

I am sure that was the question running through Joseph's mind when I fed him rice cereal for the first time. The first night I would put in 100% he would spit out 99% . He couldn't catch on very well. He also made a face of disgust the entire time but he would open his mouth for it so I kept giving it to him. By the second night he was much better. By the end we even have a few bites stay in his mouth!!
The flash makes his eyes bug out all the time now! Cracks me up.

That's all I can do mom!

I have been pretty busy....sorry. Here is aquick update for you. I bought Jessica Seinfelds cook book She was sick of forcing her children to eat their veggies and started to puree them and add them to her meals. I have never been very good when it came to veggies myself. When I was little I remember being the last at the table because I had not finished my ever so healthy vegetables. I had a great sister who would always come to my rescue and eat them for me under the table. Thanks Rae!!! hahaha. I didn't buy this to help my children eat more vegetables but to help myself!! I'll let you know how it goes.

I meant to post this during Halloween, my mom sent Joseph this cute little vampire doll. We shall call him Edward...... anyways I made them twins on Halloween.

Joseph and the coat of many colors. Lets just hope his siblings treat him better.

This is the highlight of my week. I bought this at Sam's Club for get this....$13.70 !!!! Less than $14.00!!!!!!! Joseph LOVES it! The first time I put him in it he couldn't help but scream for joy. It was sooo dang cute.

melts my heart.

So I know I just posted for you all. However this just happened today and I had to share for family.

Why did the vampire go to the orthodontist?

My ward had their Trunk Or Treat this past Saturday and I was really excited to go. Jason has school Halloween night so this would be the families only Halloween experience together this year. My friend Aning gave me this cute bear costume while I was still preggo. I am in LoVe with it!!
Joseph really likes to crash early. I was a bit worried he would sleep the whole time at church but he was so good! He let me show him off to a few friends and let me and Jason eat and talk for a bit. Then he was really to call it a night.

He started crying and it took FOREVER to calm him down. He really wanted to be home and in his crib. We skipped the Trunk Or Treat part and took our boy home. Once we got in the house the tears stopped.

the answer is.

To improve his bite.

MIA

So I have been informed by my sister Jessica that I need to update my blog.

I am soo sorry to all of my Blogger friends out there.! I have not updated because I have been reading, reading, reading. I have finished the last of the Twilight books, so I believe you have me back. If any of you are really that interested in my blog.

Also I have been informed by my sister Jessica to post more updates about Joseph. So here goes.

-He loves to sit in his bouncer. If I would let him he would stay in it all day long. I call it his Lazy Boy. (doesn't every man have his favorite chair?)

-He giggles all the time however he really LAUGHED the other day and Jason was with me to prove it.

-He likes to stand up when you hold his hands.

-love, love, LOVES baths! He can be crying and when he hears me running the water he stops and waits to get in.

-He will sit and listen to the bedtime book. I have been reading it to him every night and now he will look at the pictures and be really still.

-Still loves to wake his mom up in the night to eat. :( Hope he will lose that love some day!!

-He has really stinky toes!! I call him Stinky toes because of that. (I know I am soo cleaver! Ha)

-He has gotten much better at keeping the pacifier in his mouth.

-He HATES the car seat, the car and going anywhere but home. He does good at church but no where else. Crazy boy.

-I swaddle him still at night because he will not fall asleep any other way. However he is always out of his swaddle when I go to get him out of the crib.

Little man Little man, does whatever a Little man can. Little man Little man, can't do much cause he's a Little man.

Ever since Joseph was born Jason has called him little man. When I saw this outfit I almost died!!! Now he can fit into it.
The torture chair!!! We went back to make sure his tongue was healing correctly, everything looks great.
Just chilling outside. It's starting to get a little cooler outside. We are looking forward to Fall but not Winter.

Rock and Roll

Joseph update.

My kid can get out of anything!! I put his thumb back in and within minutes he had wormed his way out again.
For such a cute boy you would be suprised to know he is such a FUSSY baby. Yesterday we went to his TWO month check up and I told the doctor all about my fussy baby. She seems to think he has reflex from all that I told her. She told me to give him Maalox for a week and if I don't see improvements then she will call in a perscribtion for me. Yay there might be hope for my little guy!!!
Also he is in the 50% for everything but his weight, he is in the 75% !!!! He weight 12lbs 11. 4 oz.

quick update before the baby wakes up!!

I finally had to cut Joseph's hair. It was sticking straight up like 2 inches off his head. He looks so much better.
Jason got a promotion!! I am so proud of him. He works so hard for our family and I love him for that.
If you missed Sarah Palin give her speech last night you sure did miss out!! She was amazing. I believe she was a great pick.
Barack attack
From her speech.---This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot — what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it.
Victory in Iraq is finally in sight ... he wants to forfeit.
Terrorist states are seeking nuclear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions.
Al-Qaida terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights? Government is too big ... he wants to grow it.
Congress spends too much ... he promises more.
Taxes are too high ... he wants to raise them. His tax increases are the fine print in his economic plan, and let me be specific.
The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars.
