I predict my baby to come on ....

September 24Th around lets say......7:30ish.

Well I am having a scheduled c-section so I just might be right.

The news is in...

We went to our doctor today and they were running behind. I was getting nervous because Jason had to leave by a certain time in order to make it to work for a very important phone call. They finally called us in and we got to see the little one on the screen. Then before the ultrasound tech could say anything I saw that my baby was a boy. It's hard to miss when you know what you are looking for!! Jason and I knew it was going to be a girl. I have even been calling the baby she or her while talking about the baby. Now it's time to switch gears for a baby boy!
We have no idea what to name the little guy. We had our girls name ready and now we will have to put it on hold for a second time.

14 weeks and the baby is the size of a Lemon.

I love my growing belly. I am starting to feel the baby move around inside. I mostly feel the baby at night or in the morning while I am laying in bed. Other wise I don't notice it. The weather has been extremely wonderful here in GA. We have been making it outside for at least an hour every day if not longer. Joseph loveees the outdoors. Yesterday while at the park he learned a few tricks from an older kid. Like how to ride the swing on your belly. Boy did he think he was awesome. He even did it today when we were outside.

I am very excited about Easter and spending time with our families. I love holidays where we all have a chance to remember the Savior and I think it helps remind me of all the little things I should be doing in my life.

Here is a video of Joseph spelling out his name. He LOVES the alphabet. He knows 15 letters out of the alphabet. He is really obsessed with them. Thank you Blues Clues.

I went to the doctor today and hear the heartbeat of my little one. It was 165. My doctor told me lots of people want to know if that means it's a boy or a girl and he said most of the time it means a girl but now always. I told him, yes I know. My son's heart was high too, but he is just a hyper little guy. Tomorrow I will be right at 13 weeks.

I thought I should start taking pictures of my belly. This shot was taken about a month ago. Yikes. It takes me forever to load pictures these days. Please do not click on my picture to make it larger. I took it of myself and it is blurry and I think my eyes are doing a weird half open half closed thing.

neglectful mother?

When I was pregnant with Joseph I posted his picture the day I got it. With this little one it has taken me 6 weeks to post this. I am right around 13 weeks. I am going to the Doctor tomorrow for my second appointment.

Double the trouble.

I am 8 weeks along and my due date is Sep 30Th. We emailed this to Jason a couple of weeks ago when we found out. It took him a few seconds to catch on!
This was such a hard picture to take that is why it's so blurry. I had to tape the picture on his chest in order to keep it in place. I have been dying to tell you all. I was feeling pretty bad for a while but I think I am starting to feel a bit better.

Rebecca called me at 6:57 this morning to tell me she was going to the hospital. She started having contractions about 2:30 am. I will keep everyone posted through out the day.

My doctor appointment.

Dear Abby,
Okay everyone else too!

I went to my doctor today and I have tons of great news.
A. I have lost my plug
B. I am still at a 2 but I am 80% thinned out
C. I will be induced on Thursday if I have not had the baby by then!!!!

My doctor was telling me that I have saved 6 to 8 hours on labor because I am a 2 and at 80%. She couldn't believe I have not gone into labor yet. I met a stranger today at target and she told me she was a 2 and 95% when she went into labor and had the baby 8 hours later. Maybe I will be lucky like her and go quickly. I am really excited that I should have my little baby in just a few days if not sooner!!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can......

Out here they have these bike trails that used to be where the train came through and they have converted the tracks to bike trails. So the trails take you all over the place. After learning that, our friend Sam told us that he rides his bike to work every day to save money on gas and to exercise.

Since Jason heard that he has wanted to do the same. Now we knew if he was really going to do this he would have to get a really nice road bike but we didn't want to spend the money on one if he wasn't really going to like doing it. So Jason decided to do a trial run with our walmart clunker. Our friend bikes 20 miles each way and Jason knew that would be too much for him so he set it up where he would bike 8 miles and then hop on the metro line to finish taking him into work. It took him 45 minutes to do the 8 miles yesterday which I thought was good since he had not been doing it and since it was such a bad bike. He called me and told me that before he does it again he has to have a

1.really nice bike. Because everyone was passing him. The bike weighed him down big time.
2. biker shorts with gel in it or a nice gel seat. (it felt like he was sitting on a pole the whole time)

I offered to pick him up from work yesterday so he wouldn't have to bike home but he really wanted to do it both ways. On the way home he got a flat tire and had to fix it which took almost 30 minutes, thank goodness he had his spare pump! He said once he got started he noticed everyone kept looking at him and laughing, he thought they were laughing at his ridiculous walmart bike but soon discovered he had put his helmet on backwards and was great entertainment for everyone going home. When he got home he was so sad to look at. You could tell the heat made it harder coming home than it had been that morning.

Jason loved riding his bike even though he was sore and tired last night. So we will be buying a nice bike and he will be able to get back out there and start passing others who are crazy enough to ride a huge walmart bike on the nice bike trails.

I think this little boy doesn't want to come out at all!!!! My mom comes in town tomorrow and I am hoping that I will go into labor this weekend it would be perfect timing for me. I know this is wishful thinking but a girl has to do what a girl has to do.
Also I don't think I really was losing my plug. Sad news I know. :(

Nothing new to post. I am still at a 2. I am in pain today it really hurts to walk, really sharp pain in between my legs. :(

Visitors

My parents were in NC for a small trip and decided to drive up to VA to see Jason and me for the 4th of July weekend. We had a lot of fun and walked a ton!! I am still sore. Starting with the top row of pictures........we got to go to the Washington D.C. temple. It's one of my Church's temples where you get married. This is the temple my parents were sealed in 30 years ago. They had not been back since then and really enjoyed getting to see it again.

The second row of pictures.......we went to a few sites at night which turned out to be really nice because it wasn't too hot and there weren't so many people out. The only problem we did run into was a certain pregnant lady who had to use the bathroom all the time and it was hard to find restrooms at night. :) We didn't get to really see any fireworks on the 4th and that is my favorite part about the 4th. It was rainy and we were all sooo tired. We did catch a few the next night which made up for missing them.

The last row of pictures......We went to Mt. Vernon where George Washington lived. I learned a lot about him and now I want to learn even more. He was such a amazing man. I recommend you checking this place out if you ever make it to VA, just know you will stand in line for almost 2 hours to get inside his home, but it's worth the wait.

My parents left yesterday and my mom will be flying out this Saturday with her ticket she bought a while back. I am sure she is sick of my tiny apartment or will be by the end of her next visit!! I go to the Dr. tomorrow so I will give you all a update then. I believe I am slowly losing my plug. If any of you wanted to know that! If not sorry to gross you out.

I am ALMOST at a.....

I went to the doctor today and I am almost dilated to a 2!!!!!! I was soooooo excited when she told me that. Also I told her my stomach gets really tight whenever I walk and that is because I am having Contractions!! She told me I could start walking again and that will push things along. Another great thing was the fact I LOST a pound since last week! Today is a great day so far.

Sorry I have not posted. I am still preggo. As you can see from my picture. I really hope something happens soon. I go to the doctor tomorrow and we will see what she tells me. If there is a change I will post for you all tomorrow.

I have been really nesting lately in my house. I am cleaning everything!!! The other day I had a strong urge to clean every door in my house....so I did. At least my house will be nice and clean when I bring Joseph home.

OH BOY!!!

So as you all know I was having lots of pain the other day and almost every night. I went to the Doctor today and told her all about the sharp pains and she wanted to check me to see if everything was okay. She told me I was already softening and he is SOOOOOO low. Then she told me to stop walking and stop lifting anything and maybe we can keep him in for another 2 wks. I almost died!! I asked her " so you don't think I will make it 4 wks?" She looked at me and said he is sooo low she really doubts I will hold him that long. Now I understand why I felt like there was a bowling ball in between my legs because my baby is moving further and further down!! So we will see if Joseph comes early.

Next I had to post pictures of my bookcase that Jason and I found yesterday when we were bringing things to our dumpster. Yes that's right I took someones garbage and put it in my house. But doesn't it look nice?!!?!?!

Shower time.

This past Saturday some women from my church threw me a baby shower. I was kind of nervous about having one since I really didn't feel like I knew to many people yet. I am sooo glad that my friend Katie threw the party and invited a few extra people who I had not met yet. The shower was a ton of fun. I got to get to know a lot of the women there a whole lot better since we weren't just doing small talk in the hall way at church. I did bring my camera to take pictures of the shower but I forgot to take it out the entire time!
I even met someone who lives behind my complex and we went walking together on Monday. However I think it may have to stop because it just killed me the rest of the day. I walked around 8 am and by 9:30 it hurt to walk inside my house. I had to stay on the couch all day because it just hurt me to move at all. I wonder if Joseph is moving further down, because it feels like I have a bowling ball in between my legs and it's not comfortable at all!!!
I have had many request for a belly shot and I promise to get one up soon. Hopefully tomorrow!

I might cry.

Yesterday I was feeling like eating something healthy and made my favorite smoothie. Frozen strawberries, yogurt, banana, and some milk. When I was putting everything away in the cabinet the blender fell in slow motion towards the floor. I tried to catch it but from the angle I was at all I did was scrape my arm on the cabinet door and watch my favorite blender break into a million little pieces. I was so sad. I still am.
Now that I already told you I ate something healthy yesterday I suppose I will tell what my doctor told me today.
It's time to lay off the ice cream, pizza, chinese food and salt AND start watching your weight gain.
NOOOOOO I thought why did you have to tell me this the one time Jason joined me for a appointment? Now as you can imagine my husband is creating a grocery list and a work out schedule for me and threatening to throw away the ice cream I just got at Maggie Moos yesterday. It's a sad, sad time in the Hemsley house.

Vacation of Fun

So my trip to GA was great!! I was going down to GA for a family baby shower and got soo much more. I was surprised with three siblings I didn't know were going to be in town. First My brother Barrett was in the car when I got picked up at the airport. Later that day my mom told me the missionaries were coming over for dinner. After they were a hour late I was getting upset because I was sooo hungry. Then in walked my sister Alison from Utah. I was sooo confused, because right behind her was my other sister, Rachel from Utah with her whole family. I knew Rachel was moving back to GA but I thought she was moving after my trip. My whole family was being all sneaking and planned to surprise me. It was well worth all the effort because my entire family has not been together in 9yrs. Also my brother Barrett is about to go to Korea for a year. Most of you know Spencer is moving and I live in VA so who knows when the next time all of us will be together again. My baby shower was amazing!! Thanks to all who planned it and showed up for it. Looking at all my new stuff is really making it sink in that I have a baby on the way. Because the large growth from my belly hasn't done the trick yet.

Last on my vacation of fun my sister in law Stacy threw a great Birthday/ going away party for my brother Spencer. It was soo much fun seeing all my old friends from GA. I took zero pictures once again. I don't know why I had my camera on me at all times but I just never took it out.

Today I have to unpack all my luggage and find a place for all of my baby boys new belongings and get my house clean again. I can tell a man has lived here by himself the past 12 days.

99 & 15

I have 99 days left until my due date! Hopefully 99 days until I met my little man.
I have 15 days until I am in good ol GEORGIA!!!!!! I am soo excited to go home for a visit and a fun baby shower!

This is all that's on my mind. Sorry I have a boring life at the moment.

24 wks almost 25 wks

Well here I go again posting about myself!! Here is my head shot if anyone is looking for a preggo model. Total joking.
A front shot of my ever growing belly. I feel like I am getting better at taking pictures of myself. I need this baby to get here so I have someone else to take pictures of!! Jason hates me taking pictures of him so that's why you see me all the time.

Updates on me and the baby.
*I love to feel him kick and move around. It's the highlight of every evening, since that is when he enjoys moving the most.
*I haven't really craved anything out of my normal cravings. I want chocolate all the time but that was my life before I got pregnant. So I will not blame the boy.
*I am starting to have a hard time sleeping unless I have a pillow under my belly for support.
*I still wake up all night long for bathroom runs and sometimes just to grab a bite to eat.
*Most often when I get back to bed I cannot fall asleep.
*Still preparing my little boys room, I will not post pictures until it's complete and that will not be until after family leaves town.
*All in all I love being pregnant!!
