Love at first sight is easy to understand; it's when two people have been looking at each other for a lifetime that it becomes a miracle. -Amy Bloom
It is crazy that today 4 years ago I was marrying my wonderful husband Jason. Words cannot even begin to describe this man. He is great.
one memory I have of our wedding day is leaving the Temple, being sooo excited that we were finally married. We got on 400 and remembered it was a toll. We started looking for the 50 cents. None in the car. Jason had lost his wallet that morning so he had no cash. We finally pulled over right before the toll and looked in our suitcases....nope. We got back on and when we got closer we rolled our window down and told the people next to us what was going on. Lucky us we had our wedding attire on so they believed us and paid for our toll. Thanks for helping us out!!Tuesday, April 28, 2009

leaving.
We are extremely blessed! Not only will Jason's job be sending us back home, they are sending us this weekend for a house hunting trip. I cannot wait to see some places of where we might live soon. It's a perfect weekend to go since this Saturday will be Jason's birthday and he can spend it not only with family but his twin sister Jamie. Cannot wait to see you all. And for those I will not see, I am moving home in 3 weeks so we will catch up then.
I am nervous for the plane ride. Wish us luck. We leave tomorrow morning.

Peaches....

So Joseph really likes to eat peaches. I myself have never really cared much for them. I think it's the texture of them. Since peaches have been on my mind lately I decided to learn some fact about peaches. Now you will learn too.
Peaches were once known as Persian apples.
Peaches were mentioned as early as 79 A.D. in literature.
In China the peach is a symbol of longevity and good luck.
Nectarines are just peaches without the fuzz!
You’re a real peach” originated from the tradition of giving a peaches to your loved friends.
Now before I continue with this FABULOUS post I must remind you to watch the movies I posted this morning of Joseph. They are soo cute.
To continue with the peaches.
I know I must sound crazy to keep talking about the peaches, if you are still reading this you are in for a treat!
I found this picture today and thought it was so funny and describes me and my life, or the life I will have in 4 weeks. It is however missing the loving wife and adorable little boy in the picture.
We are MOVING back to GEORGIA!!!!!!!We will be staying with my parents until we get our own place. (thanks mom and dad! I promise we will not be there forever!)
Jason's job will be relocating us and we couldn't be happier to be moving back home. We have missed our families so much. VA you have been nice to us. We have enjoyed meeting all of our new friends however these Georgia Peaches are ready to go home!

my life saver.
Ever since Joseph was born I have followed the Back to Sleep campaign. The Back to Sleep campaign is suitably named for its recommendation to place healthy babies on their backs to sleep. Placing babies on their backs to sleep reduces the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), also known as "crib death."
http://www.nichd.nih.gov/sids/
The one and only problem I am having with this is Joseph's head has become flat in the back. Jason and I have been noticing it more and more lately but we didn't want to put him on his stomach. I was searching the Internet and found my solution. Boppy makes this pillow that you can use. It has a hole for his head to fit in and it helps promote the roundness I was looking for. After a week we can tell a dramatic difference. So I had to post this for anyone who's following the Back to Sleep campaign and their baby is suffering from it as ours was. There is hope for you!!
walk with me.
We were out walking the other night and it was colder so I put Joseph in his new hat that aunt Alison made. It was soooo cute I had to take some pictures of him.
My new love!!! Also another thanks to Alison for the ring.

quick update before the baby wakes up!!
I finally had to cut Joseph's hair. It was sticking straight up like 2 inches off his head. He looks so much better.
Jason got a promotion!! I am so proud of him. He works so hard for our family and I love him for that.
If you missed Sarah Palin give her speech last night you sure did miss out!! She was amazing. I believe she was a great pick.Barack attack
Victory in Iraq is finally in sight ... he wants to forfeit.
Terrorist states are seeking nuclear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions.
Al-Qaida terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights? Government is too big ... he wants to grow it.
Congress spends too much ... he promises more.
Taxes are too high ... he wants to raise them. His tax increases are the fine print in his economic plan, and let me be specific.
The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars.

Thanks for all you do.
As I said before my dad, mom and sister Rachel came out to help me while I am recovering. Rachel is still here, but they all have been such a blessing. They have helped me with cooking and cleaning. My dad cleaned my bathroom for me and I swear it's never looked so good!!! He has put me to shame when it comes to how clean a bathroom can be. They have also been my taxi service since I cannot drive for two weeks. Thanks to all three of them, you guys are amazing!! I love you.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can......

Out here they have these bike trails that used to be where the train came through and they have converted the tracks to bike trails. So the trails take you all over the place. After learning that, our friend Sam told us that he rides his bike to work every day to save money on gas and to exercise.
Since Jason heard that he has wanted to do the same. Now we knew if he was really going to do this he would have to get a really nice road bike but we didn't want to spend the money on one if he wasn't really going to like doing it. So Jason decided to do a trial run with our walmart clunker. Our friend bikes 20 miles each way and Jason knew that would be too much for him so he set it up where he would bike 8 miles and then hop on the metro line to finish taking him into work. It took him 45 minutes to do the 8 miles yesterday which I thought was good since he had not been doing it and since it was such a bad bike. He called me and told me that before he does it again he has to have a
1.really nice bike. Because everyone was passing him. The bike weighed him down big time.
2. biker shorts with gel in it or a nice gel seat. (it felt like he was sitting on a pole the whole time)
I offered to pick him up from work yesterday so he wouldn't have to bike home but he really wanted to do it both ways. On the way home he got a flat tire and had to fix it which took almost 30 minutes, thank goodness he had his spare pump! He said once he got started he noticed everyone kept looking at him and laughing, he thought they were laughing at his ridiculous walmart bike but soon discovered he had put his helmet on backwards and was great entertainment for everyone going home. When he got home he was so sad to look at. You could tell the heat made it harder coming home than it had been that morning.
Jason loved riding his bike even though he was sore and tired last night. So we will be buying a nice bike and he will be able to get back out there and start passing others who are crazy enough to ride a huge walmart bike on the nice bike trails.
P.S
I think this little boy doesn't want to come out at all!!!! My mom comes in town tomorrow and I am hoping that I will go into labor this weekend it would be perfect timing for me. I know this is wishful thinking but a girl has to do what a girl has to do.
Also I don't think I really was losing my plug. Sad news I know. :(

Happy Fathers Day!!!
Jason and I have the best dads in the world!!! We will miss you on your special day! We hope you know how greatful we are to have you both in our lives.
Life Lessons
You may have thought I didn't see,Or that I hadn't heard,
Life lessons that you taught to me,But I got every word.
Perhaps you thought I missed it all,
And that we'd grow apart,
But Dad, I picked up everything,It's written on my heart.
Without you, Dad, I wouldn't be The person I am today;
You built a strong foundationNo one can take away.
I've grown up with your values,And I'm very glad I did;
So here's to you, dear father,From your forever grateful kid.
