Remember he is there.

The Lord has been trying very hard to teach me some things lately.
I being lazy far to often have neglected to listen to him.

 I am grateful he never gives up on me and is always there supporting me when I finally take the time to recognize him in my life again.

It's pretty awesome how much he loves you and me....even when we are not deserving of his love.

Finding joy

When I was pregnant with Joseph and living far from family, and I had no job. I spent a lot of time becoming familiar with the blogging world. I enjoyed reading so many different blogs about so many different families. I would go from blog to blog. I can vividly remember stumbling across a blog post literally after she posted about the death of her child. Here

I would often pray for her and ask for comfort in her life. I didn't know this woman or her husband. I did however feel the need to care for her and think of her often.
 Mourn with her and love her.

Then I had my baby and my world began to change in a different way and my thoughts never really went back to this family......until today.

I was watching the BYU channel and they showed this video. It was telling the story of this very same family I am telling you about.

I was soo very happy to see it.  I was happy to see her joy and what she has done to make others find joy in their times of need.
You too should watch this.

I am so very thankful for the peace and joy that comes into my life knowing that families can be together forever. I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ who has made it possible for me to be a wife to my husband and a mother to my sons forever. It's amazing what you can overcome when you trust in the Lord.

All my random thoughts at the moment.

Yes. This is a family picture you are looking at. I am about the biggest procrastinator you will ever meet. My mother was desperate for a picture of the family and made us sit down when we went to visit. I am happy to have a picture!

For those of you who do not know. Daniel will be getting his tubes in his ears and his tongue re clipped in the morning. Please keep him and his mama in your prayers. :) Also he has asthma and we feel like we are finially getting some answers to why our poor baby has been misrable for the majority of his young life.

I didn't realize I planned a babyshower and surgery for the same week. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed. What the heck should I make food wise?

I am however very excited about the game I will play at the shower. I cannot tell you just in case someone wanted to cheat.hahaha...but I will in another post.

There are certain people who come into your life and are only there for a brief moment. But they taught you how to be a better person. For me that was my friend Hannah. She helped me out while I adjusted to motherhood. She probably has no idea how much her friendship meant to me back then. I hope she knows now :)

I am going to re read the Book Of Mormon again this year.

Randomosity

Here is what I have been up to lately. If you read Pink Nothings or we are FB buddies you may have seen these already...............I caught Joseph in the sink. I had some people on FB think that I put him in the sink. I need to clarify. He did it all on his own. After I got him down I had to put him in time out for trying to do it again. I love that he will sit in time out. I really didn't think I would have the type of child who would do that for me.

We love to take advantage of my sister -in- laws backyard. We like to swing and jump together.

I have a climber. No doubt. Anyone have a small plastic climber and slide combo? If so I want it!!!

I know you all want to see pictures of the house. This is your small tease. You will note that the picture was taken around Halloween because of the ghost/pumpkin cookie jar on the table.

* He has 12 teeth now

*can sign soo many words. milk, more, please, sorry, train, shoes, socks, eat, potty, hat, banana and ( he can do the signs to the wheels on the bus....go round and round, doors open and shut, horn goes beep, babies cry, moms say shhh)

*knows the shape for circle

*will follow simple commands like go get (fill in the blank)

* loves baths and hate to lay down in them to get the bubbles out of his hair.

Oh. I forgot this picture was here. I raked my yard a couple of weeks ago. I was so proud I took this picture. Then I couldn't move for the next 3 days because I hurt my back using muscles I never use. How old am I?

Bathroom post....yes another one.

Yesterday I was living in a world with no phone. Sad sad day in my life. I couldn't talk to my sisters whenever I wanted. Why? Because I thought it was a smart idea to use the elastic band on my pj's to hold my cell phone because I had no pockets and I just had to carry it around. When I went to use the bathroom, it fell right into the darn toilet. It has been dead ever since.

I know you all remember my slight obsession with the bird that used to live on my porch. Well today I looked on the back porch and who do I see? Big Momma and her baby daddy!! They are back for round 2! Bring it!

In a blogging Rut? Or am I just Lazy?

My vote is, I am just lazy! I have been meaning to write to you all. I am really pleased with my cookbook Deceptively Delicious. I wrote about it once before. How you add veggies to regular meals. Not only do the meals taste great but the desserts do too! (well the ones I have tried)Yummy chocolate chip cookies......what you may ask is hidden inside? Seriously they taste amazing. You cannot even taste the garbanzo beans.

Now on to Joseph and his great progress. He is now able to roll over both ways! He has been rolling to his side and would just stop. He is such a tease! That is not all. The kid is becoming a pro at sitting by himself. He still will fall over but he can stay up much longer than he has been able to.

How did he get soo many toys to play with one my wonder.

Easy, he just got them all on his own. Smart boy.

Us getting ready to go on a walk together, we got all bundled up only to return to the house in 10 minutes. Brrrr it's just too cold still.

The other day while I was getting ready, I went to put a bobby pen in my hair and it slipped out of my hand. I kept looking for it , only to find it 30 minutes later on Joseph's ear.

You say it's your birthday.

Yesterday was my 24th birthday. Thanks to all who gave me birthday wishes. It was a great birthday. Joseph must have know that it was a different day because the little guy who normally cries at every nap didn't cry once!!!! I thought I was in heaven!
Also my hubby made me dinner and who doesn't love sitting back while someone else cooks for you?!?

I got my birthday wish from last year and I am holding him in my arms. I love this sweet baby.

Off of my birthday, I got another item from Freecycle.org, It's the bouncer that my child can't get enough of!! He loves to kick his feet and see it light up. Also this frees his momma up to get things done around the house.

This is a random post about random things.

So I never did tell you all that my back porch is mine again. The birds have been gone for a while now. They had two eggs but only one of them hatched. This is the poor egg that just didn't make it.

At Church we did a service project activity a couple of months ago. You had to fill one of these cards out and when you arrived at church you hooked it to a balloon that were floating around everywhere. We had a nice dinner and program on serving others. At the end you got to go around to balloon's and find a service that someone could do for you. I was soo happy when I found this one. I had been wanting to get my carpet cleaned when I moved in here because it never was really clean. I had been spot cleaning it since we moved in and the apartment complex did nothing for me. So today Melodie came by and I was going to have her just do the front two rooms but she told me since my place wasn't too big she would do my whole house!!! Now I know that my carpet is fresh and clean. So when Joseph comes I will not have to worry about him being on the floor. Yea!!
This will be Joseph's first bed when he comes home. I cannot wait to put my little sleeping baby inside. I think it's the cutest thing I have ever seen!!

Here is one corner of Joseph's room. I am going to buy more boxes to put in the shelf, some red and tan ones. I just haven't been able to do it yet. Then I don't think it will look so cluttered. You can see my baby bedding still in the bag. I will not be putting the crib up until after my parents leave town so they have plenty of room while they stay in the baby room. So one day you will get to see what the finished project looks like. Until then, just use your imagination.

Jason really wanted a baseball themed room for our little boy. We finally agreed on this look . As you see I still need to hang them, but I am waiting on that too. I want to know where the crib will be before I hang the pictures on the wall.

This is one of my gifts I just received from a friend at church. I love it, not only is the fabric way cute the other side is soooo soft. I wanted to post so my sister can check it out.

This is Jason's love. He only voiced his opinion about one item while we were registering. He wanted something to put the diapers in. So of course we got one. :)
