stand by your man....not always though

Jason swears this all went down a different way. But I know the truth. I am here to give you the real story.
Home Depot was having this annual safety day in our town. I wanted to bring the boys because I knew they could make and paint their own firetruck toys. We get there and we are doing the all the fun stuff. We started with the  train ride and jumping in bouncy houses. Then we walked over to see a real fire truck. We had just walked over to the firetruck and the fireman told us they were going to land a helicopter in a few minutes and we should cover the boys eyes because the helicopter would pick up all the dirt on the pavement. You should know this entire event was taking place in the parking lot of Home Depot.
Right after the fireman tells this to us the huge helicopter comes hovering above us. That my friends is when the crazy kicked into Jason.

We stood there watching the helicopter, you could see the area marked off close by the firetruck where they planed to land it. I knew we would be the closest people to the landing and told Jason we might want to back up a bit because of the sand getting into our eyes. He wanted to stay and see it land up close. So I stood there with him and watched it go in a small circle. Then Jason starts walking towards it with Joseph on his shoulders. I look to my right and people are running to see the landing of the helicopter.

I couldn't believe people really thought it necessary to run. I started to walk away from the firetruck back towards the store and bouncy house.  Then I thought maybe I should stand with Jason, I turned around and walked over trying to find him amongst the crowd of people and then I spot him. Standing in the middle of the marked off spot where they planned to land the helicopter. I couldn't believe he was in the area for the landing. Then after the helicopter waited for Jason to move out of his spot, they realized the man wasn't moving. They land off in a field and then tell some people to move the plastic streamers marking off the area and move the idiot standing in the middle so they could land.

Jason swears tons of other people were standing in the middle with him and he also swears the only reason they landed in the field was to move the streamers out of the way....not him.
It was hilarious telling him my story and hearing him tell a completely different story.

The many hairstyles of Joseph.

The Mad Scientist.
The Slick back hairstyle. The Wolverine.

Last but not least, the Dwight from the office.

Cheerio hound dog.

I don't bother picking up the cheerios Joseph drops while eating his meal. I know within 30 minutes he will be under the table cleaning up for me. That boy can sniff a cheerio out like his life depends on it. Sometimes I feel bad because I have no idea where he got the cheerio from.

8 months already!

Yesterday our baby turned 8 months old. I Meant to post then but he kept me too busy. These pictures show his new love. Playing in the kitchen. The only way to keep him out of the things I don't want him in, is to give him "kitchen toys".
I have been telling him we are going to be moving soon, I don't think he understands. :) I am glad at all of you who stuck with the last post I know it was boring and long until the end!

So this movie is what happened last night at our house, and pretty much every night. When I turn the water on for Joseph's bath he gets so excited and takes off for the bath. Enjoy.

Does any one else hate thinking of something to put here?

Note: These pictures have nothing to do with this post. I just had to throw them in here because my sister Alison doesn't read my blog, she will only look at the pictures. Crazy girl. I know.

The first picture is one of my new lessons I have learned. If you leave it out, he will come for it.

The other pictures is of Joseph and his blanket he has become attached to. This is one of his favorite things to do with it.

I finally got sick this winter. I have been sick since last week. I am feeling so much better but not really 100%myself yet. I had loads of laundry to catch up on from doing none last week and blogs to check out too. So as you can guess I have been very busy today.
Last week Joseph accomplished being able to pull himself up using any surface. He could only use the crib and tub for a while. Now he uses the couch, chairs bookshelves etc. I have been on extra mommy patrol with this little explorer. He is getting really good with crawling and can even do it the right way but after a bit he will plop back to his belly and go. We have discovered that he loves pancakes. I have never seen him cram so much in his mouth in so little time. I was worried at first and when I looked in his mouth they were all gone. He loved them!
We had such nice weather this past weekend and I was naive enough to think it was here for good and put shorts on yesterday. Burr, it's not that warm.

Sunday Jason and I were so proud of ourselves. Church starts at 8:30 am and we always get there 8:30-8:40. Our goal has been to get there 10 to 15 minutes early so we can get a good seat and prepare ourselves for the meeting. We got to church at 8:20 and were soo happy. That is until we walked in and realized it had already started. We were so confused. We then looked at the phone and saw it was 9:20. How could we have been so off on the time? Finally it clicked to us that it must have been day light savings. Our first time being early to church and it was really the latest we have EVER been.
