The news is in...

We went to our doctor today and they were running behind. I was getting nervous because Jason had to leave by a certain time in order to make it to work for a very important phone call. They finally called us in and we got to see the little one on the screen. Then before the ultrasound tech could say anything I saw that my baby was a boy. It's hard to miss when you know what you are looking for!! Jason and I knew it was going to be a girl. I have even been calling the baby she or her while talking about the baby. Now it's time to switch gears for a baby boy!
We have no idea what to name the little guy. We had our girls name ready and now we will have to put it on hold for a second time.

Double the trouble.

I am 8 weeks along and my due date is Sep 30Th. We emailed this to Jason a couple of weeks ago when we found out. It took him a few seconds to catch on!
This was such a hard picture to take that is why it's so blurry. I had to tape the picture on his chest in order to keep it in place. I have been dying to tell you all. I was feeling pretty bad for a while but I think I am starting to feel a bit better.
Muah.

My mom always told me,

that money doesn't grow on trees. I guess Obama's mom didn't teach him that.

Google said they would come back.

This is a picture from a previous post. Or at least I hope it is because my belly is HUGE! I couldn't get a picture today.
I know you all remember my slight obsession with the bird that used to live on my porch. Well today I looked on the back porch and who do I see? Big Momma and her baby daddy!! They are back for round 2! Bring it!

quick update before the baby wakes up!!

I finally had to cut Joseph's hair. It was sticking straight up like 2 inches off his head. He looks so much better.
Jason got a promotion!! I am so proud of him. He works so hard for our family and I love him for that.
If you missed Sarah Palin give her speech last night you sure did miss out!! She was amazing. I believe she was a great pick.
Barack attack
From her speech.---This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign. But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot — what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet? The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it.
Victory in Iraq is finally in sight ... he wants to forfeit.
Terrorist states are seeking nuclear weapons without delay ... he wants to meet them without preconditions.
Al-Qaida terrorists still plot to inflict catastrophic harm on America ... he's worried that someone won't read them their rights? Government is too big ... he wants to grow it.
Congress spends too much ... he promises more.
Taxes are too high ... he wants to raise them. His tax increases are the fine print in his economic plan, and let me be specific.
The Democratic nominee for president supports plans to raise income taxes ... raise payroll taxes ... raise investment income taxes ... raise the death tax ... raise business taxes ... and increase the tax burden on the American people by hundreds of billions of dollars.

I have to vent.

If you know me at all, you know I have been very involved with politics. I listen to talk radio and follow the the latest news on those running. You must also know Huckabee drives me crazy!!
He has been all over Mitt Romney's back about being a flip-flopper because he changed to pro-life which Mitt says this-
I was effectively pro-choice when I ran for office. When I became governor of Massachusetts, the first time a bill came to my life that dealt with life, I simply could not side with--with taking a life, and I came on the side of life. Every bill that came to my desk, every issue that related to protecting the sanctity of life, I came down on the side of life. I'm pro-life. I'm not going to apologize for becoming pro-life. I'm proud to be pro-life.

Huckabee likes to bring this up all the time, yet just two days ago he changed his opinion on something. At first he was saying this-
“If you are president in 2009 and Congress brings you a bill to outlaw smoking nationwide in public places, would you sign it?” Matthews asked.
“I would, certainly would. In fact, I would, just like I did as governor of Arkansas, I think there should be no smoking in any indoor area where people have to work,”
Huckabee responded
NOW he has changed, and during his campaign nonetheless!!!
Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has reversed his position on a federal ban aimed at workplace smoking and now believes the issue should be addressed by state and local governments.
I don't understand why he is allowed to change his stance and people say he is being a good republican and when Mitt does he only did it to win the republicans over. If judgment is going to be given to one it should be given to the other as well.

We are late for a important date!!

Today Jason and I realized we have not registered to vote and we needed to do it by this Monday in order to participate in the primary. As you all know today is Saturday! Lucky for us, we found a place to do it and are on our way right now.. Let this be a reminder to all of you who still need to register.

I comMITT!

If you were not able to watch Mitt Romney give his speech today I recommend you take some time to watch it now. It is a great speech.
No candidate should be rejected because of his faith.
